Job Description

You will assist with the development of Group Audit’s (GA) risk-based internal audit methodology in line with relevant professional standards, leading market practice and regulatory requirements. They also engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate and implement methodology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering methodology projects to facilitate continuous improvement and maintain a first class, proactive, forward-looking Group Audit function
  • Participating in the development of guidance and support materials for Group Audit staff to enable a clear understanding of the audit methodology
  • Interacting effectively with all levels of GA to ensure methodology initiatives are developed in collaboration with GA staff, taking their feedback into account
  • Providing advice and guidance to GA staff on the implementation and interpretation of the GA methodology
  • Working collaboratively with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure any relevant themes and issues from QA reviews are addressed by methodology initiatives

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to Bachelor degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience
  • Relevant professional qualification such as Certified Internal Auditor, ACCA / ACA / CPA
  • Previous experience working as an internal auditor, with a financial services institution is beneficial
  • Proven experience of working in a methodology or QA function is beneficial
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and to work under own initiative
