Job Description

You’ll be joining the Operational Risk Management (ORM) Coverage team, who effectively perform 2nd line of defence monitoring of operational risk management across business divisions and infrastructure functions.

You’ll engage stakeholders with regards to the ORM framework and support the management of the stakeholder relationships. Other responsibilities will include keeping abreast of changes in relevant jurisdictional laws and regulations regarding operational risk and understanding their implications, as well as promoting the Risk culture and visibility of ORM. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing reviews and challenging Non-Financial Risk profiles
  • Establishing, enhancing and embedding an effective ORM framework and monitoring the implementation within areas of responsibility
  • Ensuring that the applicable operational risk strategic direction is consistent with the Global strategy as well as ensuring effective management and measurement to ensure processes are adopted
  • Developing policies and procedures concerning ORM to meet specific local regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry trends and standards, risk management practices, legal and regulatory changes


Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven ORM and control experience in the first and second lines of defence with relevant experience in the design and implementation of ORM frameworks
  • Pro-active, self-motivated and an excellent team player, able to navigate within a matrix organisation
  • Highly effective at time management, multi-tasking and prioritisation in order to meet agreed deadlines
  • Proven influencing and stakeholder management skills across senior levels in order to facilitate agreement on design and implementation
  • Engaging and effective when dealing with difficult stakeholders who have conflicting interests
  • Able to share information, transferring knowledge and experience to team members and key stakeholders
  • Appreciation of the regulatory environment in the region and more broadly of the lead regulator perspectives on operational risk
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Proficiency in English language (verbal and written), German (beneficial)
