A global Financial Market Infrastructure engaged Albany Beck to bring structure, governance and delivery leadership to its Security Change Portfolio during a period of significant transformation. Challenge
The client was operating a complex, multi-stream security portfolio without unified governance or clear accountability. Parallel programmes across architecture, engineering and risk created fragmentation, while Federal Reserve MRAs demanded accelerated, defensible remediation. Skills gaps and limited cross-pillar coordination constrained execution, requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on delivery support to stabilise and regain control of the portfolio.
Approach
Albany Beck established a centralised Security Change Portfolio model to create a single point of accountability and introduce structured governance across all initiatives. Portfolio-level reporting rhythms, RAID management and dependency tracking were implemented to improve transparency and control. Dedicated programme leadership, project management and PMO support were embedded to stabilise workstreams, while specialist security SMEs were deployed across PAM, architecture, risk and secure engineering disciplines. Structured cross-pillar forums were introduced to improve alignment and decision quality, ensuring that transformation initiatives progressed within a coordinated, enterprise-wide framework. This model combined strategic oversight with hands-on execution, enabling the organisation to regain control of its security transformation agenda while strengthening internal capability.
Solution
Albany Beck delivered a coordinated security transformation programme, leading the enterprise rollout of Delinea for PAM, implementing secure baselines during data centre migration, and completing Oracle Finance migration while initiating HR transition. A Security Fusion model improved cross-pillar coordination, and specialist risk and architecture support accelerated Federal Reserve MRA remediation through strengthened reporting and control frameworks.
Outcomes
The Security Change Portfolio was stabilised and aligned into a high-performing function with stronger governance, accelerated remediation and improved cross-pillar collaboration.
