We're delighted to announce that Jamieson Gellatly has taken on the role of Advisor to the board and senior management team at Albany Beck.
With an impressive tenure exceeding 35 years in the financial services sector, Jamieson has specialized in constructing and guiding teams to provide IT-centric business solutions and institutional change. His exceptional leadership skills, including a knack for motivating teams, building relationships, and managing people, are clearly exhibited in his track record. Jamieson has successfully spearheaded and executed numerous transformation projects, aligning process improvement and change management strategies with commercial objectives.
With over 35 years of experience, Jamieson Gellatly started his career in the NatWest Markets Management Development Scheme, transitioning into IT services in the mid-1990s by joining Cap Gemini. He then became a founding member and shareholder of a specialized City-based IT services consultancy, where he was instrumental in setting up their Business Consultancy & Project Services practices.
Subsequently, he joined Deutsche Bank, establishing and directing the Global Markets IT Shared Application Technologies function.
This tenure was followed by his role at JP Morgan, where he served as Managing Director & Chief Business Technologist for the Derivatives & FX Back-office Technology group. He was responsible for a strategic multi-year re-engineering program aimed at consolidating the Derivatives & FX Back-office platforms into a single, unified Back-office utility architecture. In addition, he managed the technology workstream for the Derivatives migration during the Bear Stearns merger.
After his stint at JP Morgan, he spent six years as CTO & Head of Production Support at the systemically important Financial Market Utility CLS, overseeing their mission-critical technology platforms.
From 2018 onwards, Jamieson has been leveraging his expertise to provide consultancy services across the industry, returning to the hands-on delivery of pragmatic technology solutions and yielding tangible operational benefits in the face of diverse business transformation challenges. It was during his leadership of a 'programme rescue'— a high-profile, multi-year transformation of a global Custody platform onto a new Target Operating Model—that he first collaborated with Albany Beck.
Jamieson’s Role at Albany Beck
At Albany Beck, we are persistently striving to grow and adapt. The induction of Jamieson will greatly contribute to our development, especially in Corporate Governance and in the way our Board & Senior Management team propel our growth, collaboration, and excellence.
We believe that Jamieson's new role as a Board advisor will aid us in further solidifying our global operating model. He will provide guidance on aligning and executing our strategy across our expansive organisation, which will in turn enhance inclusion and awareness throughout.
We invite you to join us in welcoming Jamieson to Albany Beck. His outstanding leadership, proven delivery record, and unwavering commitment to team building are bound to elevate Albany Beck Consulting to future success both internally and for our clients.
